Users of the
Bargain Hunters' Investment FlexiSystem are value investors
in the stock market. First, they own their own house, and have a pension, and
emergency cash in a high-interest account.
They may also have some investment funds (typically tracker funds
- which by tracking a stock market index outperform most other funds
on
a net
basis,
partly
due to their low charges) or investment trusts.
They will have bought some financial products online at a discounted rate and
will have relied on nobody else’s decision making but their own.
With these staple investments in place, users of the FlexiSystem are focusing
almost exclusively on investing in shares. They are looking for stocks with low
prices against fundamentals, coupled with growth prospects. Many FlexiSystem users
are, or have been, City professionals, and they are more successful
at
investing than most.
Users of the FlexiSystem look for value in shares they buy and are prepared
to do their homework, but they do not fit into a single mould. Some are cautious
investors, some are bold. They are all prepared to buy the right shares and hold,
but some like
to trade as well. They all like fundamental analysis, but some supplement this
by using technical analysis.
This is what the Bargain Hunters' Investment FlexiSystem is all about. It is adaptable investing, rooted in, but developing from the value investing techniques pioneered by the late Benjamin Graham. Our system is tried, proven and tested in good times as well as in bad.

WEALTH WARNING
If
you are looking for the magic solution to all your investment problems, look
elsewhere. There are plenty of firms that will promise this (for a high fee),
and you will invariably be disappointed.
On
this web site, we describe investment techniques that have worked
well for some, and which can beat the market. But you will not
receive everything
on a plate. You must understand the principles explained and
do some further reading and research. Ultimately as an investor, it is
you who must take responsibility for your
own decisions. |
We
would recommend you start with one of the following two books, both of which
will give you an understanding of the stock market and the rest of the City:
The
Times: How the City Really Works,
by Alexander Davidson, published by Kogan Page.
The
Times: How to Understand the Financial Pages, by Alexander Davidson,
published by Kogan Page.
For an overall view of investing, read one of the following:
Everyone's Guide to Online Stock
Market Investing,
by Alexander Davidson, published by Kogan Page.
How Win as a Stock Market Speculator,
by Alexander Davidson, published by Kogan Page.
